  • Traditional Cows’ Ball

    The Traditional Cows’ Ball is Bohinj’s most iconic autumn festival, celebrating the joyful return of cattle from the high mountain pastures. Farmers, dressed in traditional costumes, lead beautifully decorated cows to the valley, while brass bands and folk dancers fill the meadows with music. Guests can enjoy regional specialties, taste homemade cheeses, and discover the centuries-old ties between Alpine life, culture, and tradition. This colorful gathering is both a festive homecoming and a rare cultural encounter that captures the true spirit of Bohinj.

  • Zajamniki Through Eyes of Autumn

    The Zajamniki Photo Tour is a magical chance to explore one of Bohinj’s most enchanting alpine pastures in the glow of autumn. Guided by photographer Katja Jemec, participants discover hidden viewpoints where Triglav and Lake Bohinj shine in golden-red light. The experience is open to all, from smartphone users to seasoned photographers, with expert advice shared along the way. Guests can also enjoy local specialties prepared by the “Bohinjske Žene,” making this guided tour a perfect blend of comfort, culture, and creativity in a breathtaking mountain setting.

By Car:

Bohinj is 25 km away from Motorway A2 (Karavanke-Ljubljana-Obrežje). Take the exit #3 (Bled-Bohinj) and continue through Bled in direction Bohinj. In Bohinjska Bistrica drive right to Polje (4 km). Vila Nina Boutique Apart Hotel you can see at the entry to Polje from the left side.

By Bus:

Bohinj has a regular bus connection from Ljubljana. Please check the timetable at  arriva.si. Vila Nina Boutique Apart Hotel is located only 100 meters from the bus station Polje v Bohinju.

By Train:

Bohinj is reachable by Train from Jesenice or Nova Gorica. Take the train to Bohinjska Bistrica and from there take the bus (Polje v Bohinju) or taxi (4 km) to Vila Nina Boutique Apart Hotel.
